Alexis's Rookie Year on the Epson Tour
Donation protected
Hello all! As most of you may know, my name is Alexis Miestowski and I am a recently-turned professional golfer, born and raised in Schererville, Indiana. Golf has always been a gigantic part of my life. From winning the high school state championship at Lake Central in 2015 to turning professional this past spring, I have learned to love the intense grind of being a golfer.
I played four years of college golf at Indiana University; unfortunately my four years were interrupted by Covid in 2020 and a near career-ending injury in '21-'22 I tore my serratus anterior from overuse and it ended up fracturing one of my ribs in two places.
I went from believing my golf career was over to gaining an Epson tour card in under a year. I was able to give my body the rest it needed after graduating from college, and decided to give it a try this past summer.
I battled through the mini tours this summer and went to Q- School for the first time where I was successful and secured my Epson Tour card after shooting -4 on the back nine of Stage 2.
As most of you are aware, the financial side of golf, (especially women's golf) is not the easiest to bare, it is an extremely expensive career when you are trying to make it. I am so grateful for my amazing family to have helped me as much as they could during my first year professional(2023). Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. One hundred percent of the money raised is going towards entrance fees, hotel costs, rental cars, and food. (basically all of my expenses on the road).
I am SO excited to have secured an Epson Tour card and am more than ready to get started next season. I will be traveling from March-October all over the United States week to week. Although the schedule will not be released until mid- January, there are usually around 20-26 tournaments/ Epson Season. With that being said, each tournament has a $400 entry fee, as well as week-long rental car fees, week-long hotel fees, and food costs. I am learning every step of this journey, as my family and I are new to this world as well.
I hope to make everyone proud and finish in the top 10 this coming season to secure my LPGA tour card. Thank you again.
Happy holidays to all :)
I will attach the estimated costs for the 2024 season.
