Alexis travel to Kenya and make a difference!

Hello! My name is Alexis Haynes, a dedicated 3rd Year Pharm.D. Candidate at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). My passion for serving the underserved and minority populations has driven me to embark on an incredible journey to Kenya, where I will have the opportunity to contribute to health and community development initiatives.

This mission trip is about more than just traveling to a new country for the first time; it’s about making a meaningful impact. While in Kenya, I will:

o Collaborate with local health professionals to provide basic healthcare and education.

o Conduct health screenings at schools and the local hospital.

o Pack and distribute essential supplies and medications to those in need.

o Connect with communities to learn about their culture and challenges, fostering mutual growth.

o This trip will also count has one my 4th year pharmacy rotations required to graduate.

Participating in this mission trip requires financial support to cover:

o Travel expenses (flights & transportation)

o Accommodation (lodging, laundry) and meals during the trip

o Immunizations, physical, medications, clothing, phone adapters, spending money, and international cellular service

o 3-day/2-night Safari to Madagascar
