My name is Athena Steeples.  I have a very special daughter named Alexis Morvice. She has a very rare genetic disorder called congenital disorders of glycosolation.  It has no cure. It affects every organ in her body. Alexis was in patient in children’s hospital Los Angeles for over 8 months.. The doctors said she wouldn’t live to be 2 years old but has surprised us all. Alexis will be 3 in October and she hasn’t learned to sit up, walk, or talk. She also doesn’t eat. She has a G/J tube which helps her eat through her stomach and gain the nutrition she needs to survive. When Alexis turns 3 her physical and occupational therapy will end. She’s at a 6 month level physically but is very smart. I’m asking for help to raise money for a intensive physical therapy called Cuevas MEDEK Exercise (CME). It’s very expensive but will be very beneficial to Alexis. Anything will help. Thank you all.
