Hello everyone!
If you do not already know me, my name is Alexis Besich and I am a junior at Illinois State University studying communication sciences and disorders. I am studying to be a speech-language pathologist.
I have been given the most amazing opportunity to study abroad with the CSD department at ISU. We will be going on a 10-day trip to Europe and traveling to Germany, Italy, and Switzerland during spring break next year. The program is designed to "Facilitate experiences in three distinct expressions of European culture, from the Baroque majesty of Munich’s royal palaces and the Renaissance splendor of Venice’s palazzi-lined canals to the Medieval charm of Lucerne’s fountained squares. As you explore shops and cafes off the beaten path, gain glimpses into why these cities rank high on quality-of-life indexes, and delight in the stunning alpine landscapes that connect them". It is very much a cultural emersion program.
I normally do not like to ask for money for things like this because I believe in working hard to gain experiences like these. I already have about a quarter of the funds saved and I continue to work very hard to save for this trip. The trip cost is around $4,100. My 21st birthday is coming up, and although I by no means expect anything for my birthday, I figured I would ask for people to donate to this gofundme instead of getting me anything else (if they so choose). This also might still be up around Christmas as well for a potential Christmas gift.
Anything and everything helps and I love and appreciate everyone who supports me. I thank you all in advance. ❤️❤️
