Donation protected
Alexis Nichelle Lewis Thomas was very loving, and everybody that met her and knew her absolutely loved her. Alexis loved everyone and loved working at the lighthouse and especially all of her friends there. She missed them so much when she was no longer able to work. Alexis loved all of the doctors and looked forward to her appointments so she could visit and bring them up to date on her life. Throughout her life, starting at eight months, she had to go in and out of hospitals for cancer with many tumors; about two years ago, she had a stroke as well. Alexis had to reteach herself how to walk and talk again and was fully blind in one eye and half-blind in the other. Even going through all of that, she was such a sweetheart and never complained one bit. We are all devastated by Alexis's passing and we're not prepared for the high cost of the funeral service. We want to give Alexis the memorial she deserves: to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Alexis's funeral. We thank God for the privilege of having her in our lives. She was a 27 year miracle, and we miss her so much.
Anything helps; God bless.
We would like to thank all for your thoughts, prayers, and donations. We have received donations from several sources, so we are closer to covering the expenses of the funeral and headstone. We appreciate all the donations already made, and thanks to anyone who still may donate. We have updated the amount from $12,000 to $4,000. Thank you all.
