Update:
Alex was laid to rest on Thursday April 13. So many family and friends attended his services in Puerto Rico, and so many PR and Arizona friends reached out with words of support. We knew our boy was special, and these last few days’ outpouring of love reiterated it.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this fundraiser. It will absolutely help with the expenses of this terrible, unexpected ordeal. Also, thank you to everyone who helped organize this fundraiser and to everyone who reached out to us with words of love and support.
The family is devastated by the loss of our sweet boy Alex, but with time, and our friends and families ongoing support, we will heal and find comfort in having had the privilege of spending 20 wonderful years with him.

Boy
There was once a little boy
Who was beautiful and full of love
His smile was full and bright as light
Watching him discover the world was a delight.
The boy was lovely, caring, and funny. Always up for an adventure, never boring
And along the way the boy touched many hearts
Of course his family’s, but also new friends everywhere to find
Then the boy faced challenges and fears Sometimes driving him to the point of tear but with love, patience and perseverance
He was becoming the man that one day could make a difference
But sometimes life has other plans
And perhaps this is why we can’t understand
How could such a lovely and sweet boy be taken so soon?
Perhaps God wanted to see his beautiful smile too
To my beautiful boy Alex

Above a beautiful heart-felt poem. A few tender, heart-felt words shared about a young man gone too soon. It is hard to imagine a world without Alex "The boy," though this is now reality. He touched so many lives near and far. Many are asking what they can do to help or support. First and foremost, you can pray and send healing vibes as the family will have many hard days ahead of them. In lieu of flowers and if you’re able, we ask that you donate to the Go Fund Me site (link below) to help with the expenses to take Alex back home to Puerto Rico.
