On Saturday November 4th, Alexis Maki, 24, was shot and murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Emmett Emmanuel Metzger, 25.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Alexis knew she loved to spend quality time with her family and friends. Alexis also had an undeniable passion for bartending, traveling, and caring for animals in need. On top of that, she was a proud pet parent of her beloved dog, Echo, and her cats, Scout and Honey.

Alexis had an upbeat and kindhearted personality who was always known for putting others before herself. Her laugh was contagious, and she was often admired for her sense of humor. She touched many lives with her generosity and selfless nature. She was very involved in helping others throughout her life, and people gravitated towards her charm. She will be missed by her loving mother and father, sister, and all who knew her.

The money raised through this fundraiser will go directly to the Maki family to use toward Alexis's funeral expenses and any immediate financial needs. Any remaining funds will be used to honor the memory of Alexis.
