Alexis I DuPont High School Senior Tigers 2021

My name is LaShanda Wooten and I am the previous PTSA president and a parent of a high school senior at Alexis I. Dupont High School. This school year and last year have been like no other. It has been a bit devastating to the senior class of 2021 due to COVID. The senior class has been resilient, remained positive and they have continued to pursue their education in a positive manner.
2020-2021 the seniors missed out on almost half of their junior year in person and for safety purposes most of the students have been virtual. Imagine dreaming all of your life to become a senior, to see your friends, to attend sporting events, to engage with the staff/faculty, prom and to optimize your final year of high school! However, all these dreams and wishes are shattered due to the unforeseen and life changing pandemic. Well it is my hope along with a group of other parents to someway, somehow bring some light, love and happiness to the seniors at Alexis I. DuPont High School located in Delaware.
Through the generosity of others and the surrounding community we wish to raise funds for 250 seniors ($30 each) in order to create a grab bag. The bag will include a t-shirt, snacks, a customized water bottle and other items to bring them cheer. They can not hide their tiger pride in the midst of all they had to endure.
