Alexei Siddique is a very talented smart young man with expertise in IT Network Security. He was experiencing in recent months PTSD and other potentially psychotic disorders. His mother - Dr. Tatiana Romanova was trying frantically to get him the necessary mental help he desperately needed. He was visiting a Psychotherapist and was on some medication. Recently, he continued to call 911 on himself as he experienced delusions and mental breakdowns from reality.  At one point, law enforcement officer took him to a local hospital on a 72 hour psychiatric hold but the hospital released him after a short stay (less than 24 hours) stating, he didn't meet the criteria. They charged him instead with an outburst he had at the hospital, while he was scared and mentally paranoid. 

2 weeks later he allegedly shot his mother whom he was living with. The Ohio Clermont County prosecutor initially charged him with “felonious assault” has eventually upgraded the charges to “murder” and is totally dismissive of his mental illness. The County has no mental health facility of its own to register patients with chronic or acute mental illnesses. However, its evident the County has a record of overcharging and over incarcerating, being one of the most conservative in the state, with political goal of championing Law and Order as the ONLY available recourse. It might be even be more challenging to have a fair trial in a highly charged courtroom that does not recognize mental health as any issue.

The family is trying everything it can to prevent a second tragedy. Alex himself is a victim for not getting the proper mental health care for his serious mental issues in a heavily tabooed society. We would like Alexei to have proper counsel and legal defense. We are working hard to see that he gets the necessary mental health care that he is still being denied. We are asking for anyone's help. We know in our hearts that his Mom died trying to save him.
