Alexe Mericle

We are devastated to share the news that on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, Alexe died tragically in a climbing accident. We are all in complete shock and disbelief.

Alexe was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. If you knew Alexe, you were deeply affected by his passion for life and ability to bring excitement and energy to any situation. He leaves behind his wife, Laura, who was undoubtedly the love of his life. Every single thing he did was with her in mind. He loved their life together and ensured they lived it to the fullest. They had many big trips and plans that have been tragically cut short.

Alexe worked for Denver Health as a paramedic. He quickly emersed himself in his job and was a highly regarded health provider. His compassion for the community he served was infectious to everyone he worked with, and his patients knew they were in great hands when Alexe was tending to them.

Alexe was also a loving brother to Marc and son to Kent and Regine. Family meant everything to him, and he often talked about how much he enjoyed family dinners and their time together.

Alexe touched so many lives with his great personality and vibrant outlook on life. He had such a large and tight friendship group. Anyone he encountered quickly became a friend. We are devastated by this loss, and we will all miss him so much.

All proceeds will go to funeral, memorial, and incurring costs to help the family.
