This is a GoFundMe Page for Alex Diaz, someone who has always given so much of herself to others. She's been a constant presence in the Girl Scouts community in Santa Clara County, as well as Northern California. She's one of the first people who will be there for one of her friends or family members that is in need, and now it's our time to be there for her.

Alex has been fighting Stage II Hodgkins Lymphoma since late 2015. After going through numerous rounds of chemo, she received the news that it still wasn't enough. Her oncologist told her that she would have to go through a Bone Marrow Stem Cell transplant. This is a very serious treatment plan that will take months. This treatment will include numerous chemotherapy treatments that were much stronger than the previous ones received, as well as a hospital stay while they actually complete the transplant itself. In total, the process takes a minimum for 6 months. 

Before this plan begins, Alex will need to freeze her eggs in order to have a chance at having her own biological children one day. She will also need to have any outstanding dental work taken care of, as once the treatments starts, you are not allowed to have anything done. 

The money raised here will help Alex freeze her eggs, complete her dental work, and cover any other expenses she incurs while trying to get well. The process of freezing her eggs will cost up to $13,500 - $8,500 for the procedure, and up to $5,000 for the medications needed.
