Alex Boldin is the safest motorcyclist his friends know. He always is in full safety gear: helmet, reinforced jacket, jeans or leathers, and boots.   He won't allow friends on his bike for a ride unless they wear a helmet, at least jeans and long sleeve shirt or jacket preferred.  He's a safe guy.   By definition an accident is an unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury.   Accidents happen even to those who are the safest guy we know.

Alex was in a motorcycle accident on May 7, 2015.   Though there were minimal injuries to his bike, Alex learned he is not Superman and cannot fly.   He flew over the guard rail on the Crosstown overpass and fell approximately 40 feet.   Medical staff have shared that they have seen many traumas from that same location, most of which didn't survive.   We know that though he is not Superman, he did have a host of angels cushioning his fall a little.   Alex had no head, neck or spinal cord injuries due to the safety gear he wears religiously.   He did suffer a broken humerous, pelvis, and femur but no internal organ damage.

Alex Boldin is only 21 years old and yet more responsible than many people his age.   He holds a good job and even guaranteed he was covered by his own insurance.   Medical insurance is not free and doesn't cover 100% of his expenses.

First and foremost I would like to publicly thank Gulf Coast Machine Shop owners for offering to pay his co-pay so that he will continue to have medical coverage.

Alex's recovery will be long and expensive.   He has a $5000 co-pay and then he will still have 30% of his total bill.   Bills that will consist of emergency room, trauma Intensive Care, multiple surgeries, physical, occupational, and rehabilitative therapies including, skilled nursing, inpatient rehab center and outpatient physical therapy.   This could end up being a debt that will haunt him for a very long time.

It is our request that friends and family help in anyway they can even $5, $10,or more. Every dollar is one less that he will have to be worried about as the bills start pouring in.

Katrina (Mom), Robert (dad) Boldin, his brother and sister and a multitude friends would like to thank you in advance for any help you are able to provide.

We have started with a goal to at least cover in co-pay but all donations over the initial goal will assist in paying down the overall medical debt. THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS.
