In early September, on the precipice of departing for a 7-month journey to spread the gospel in 3rd world countries, Alexandra Ashmore received the news that she had breast cancer.
Having a mother who suffers from severe multiple-sclerosis, and a grandmother who died from breast cancer, Alex is no stranger to medical complications - nor the burden of high cost medical care. As a cross-fit instructor at Crossfit 380 who doubles as a server at Texas Land & Cattle on the weekends, she is also no stranger to hard work and knuckling down to overcome - simply put, she's a fighter.
But, she needs our help. The tumor is too large to surgically remove as is, and requires intensive chemotherapy to reduce it's size. From the surgery to implant the chemotherapy port, to the repeated treatments, to the ultimate surgery to remove the tumor, Alex will be faced with a massive headwind of medical expenses that even two jobs and the strongest will cannot overcome.
