Alexa is a precious, intelligent 6 year old girl who loves school, friends, animals and all things princess.  She is just like your daughter, your granddaughter, your niece. Except she is fighting for her life. 
She was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma when she was 15 months old. She has fought. She has relapsed. She has fought again. 
But she has now relapsed for the third time, she is starting a trial called hu3f8, which is a form of immunotherapy, and is only available at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. Included in this protocol is a series of injections that aren’t covered by insurance. Alexa will need 10 injections per cycle, at $100 per injection. She will be having 5 cycles of hu3f8 so the family has to pay at least $10,000 out of pocket for this drug. Right now, this trial is their best shot at preventing another relapse; Alexa has already completed all of the standard protocols for neuroblastoma.
Each flight to New York for Alexa and her mother costs $800 and there will be 5-10 more. 
I am asking for your help. Any amount will help. Cancer is a horrible monster to fight. We don’t want Alexa’s parents to bare this financial burden on top of everything else they’ve gone through.
