Hi everyone! My name is Alexa Carusone. I’m currently a junior at UAlbany, and I’m raising funds to make my dream of backpacking through Europe possible before I transition into adulthood and have more serious responsibilities. This feels like a now-or-never opportunity to explore the world while I still have the flexibility that comes with being a student. I have talked to so many people about my dream of backpacking through Europe, and I have heard how many regret not being able to go while they could. This is my chance.

Backpacking through Europe would allow me to immerse myself in new cultures, gain independence, and grow personally in ways that simply won’t be as feasible once my career and long-term responsibilities begin. I plan on going with my best friend, Natalie, to help ease the costs and provide extra protection for both of us. While I have been working two jobs on top of school to save money, I am worried it may not be enough. Any support, no matter how small, would go toward essential travel costs like transportation, hostels, and food. I’m incredibly grateful for any contribution and for being part of such a meaningful chapter of my life. Thank you so much for your support.
