Good Morning,

I am writing this the morning after the passing of our beloved son, brother, partner, and friend; Alexandro M. Sierra. It is with a sad heart that I am letting everyone know that he passed very peacefully surrounded by family at UNM Hospital on August 14th, at 8.55 PM. His death was very sudden and unexpected to all that love him. It is hard to write this as we are all still in a state of shock at his passing. Thank you in advance for all that donate to our fund.

Alex's passion for life was filled with love, laughter and a lot of sarcasm. His infectious attitude could be felt when he entered a room. He would always have a story of the mundane that would be spun into a web of intrigue, ending with lots of laughter. If you knew his stories, it could have been about his love of Linda Ronstadt to his alter ego Labida and her exploits.

He held many great loves in his life; one for his nephews; for his best friend and partner in crime Wayne Capps; and for his family. He was not perfect in his life and made many mistakes, but we all love him no matter what mistakes were made, as we are human. His love for those that he cared for showed no bounds. Alex could be counted on to help his family when it came to his nephews. Doctors and dentist visits were a staple that usually ended in lunch with the boys.

Alex's last hours were spent surrounded by his family. We held his hands and prayed for him. It was a sudden infection that could not be kept from spreading. Our faith is what is keeping us strong in this time of sorrow and the passing of Alex Sierra.
