YWAM Program in Tokyo, Japan

I just found out last week that I was accepted to YWAM Tokyo, a discipleship training school in the Northwest area of Tokyo!! Since I was 15 years old, I have had a heart for people and cultures. This love led me to help with international student organizations and a campus church at college as well as interning at an international church and teaching English as a second language after college.
Since I graduated I have prayerfully been considering what is the next step of growth and direction in my life. And God highlighted YWAM Tokyo.
YWAM or Youth With A Mission has a simple vision: To Know God and Make Him Known. However, the impact of that vision is enormous as people around the world are finding a lasting hope, unending love, and a great purpose.

The school holds to the beliefs I want to live by. Loving others because they are deeply worth loving and pouring out one’s life in serving and loving others is one of life’s greatest purposes. I’m excited to have the opportunity to go to this school and learn how to do these things well as well as about who did them well-Jesus.
The Discipleship school lasts 5 months, starting April 3, 2017 and ending September 6, 2017. The first 3 month will be the lecture phrase, learning about God and discipleship, and last 2 months will be the outreach phrase, where we go into communities and share the love of Christ not only in word but also in deed. In the past, this has looked like helping farmers work their fields, kids’ clubs, English club, disaster relief, and much more.
While I am working part time and preparing to go, I will not be able to make it there solely on my own strength. Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities to live in which means the school costs are high also. It will cost $8,000 in total. $4,600 for the first half due by April 1st and about $3,400 for the second half due by June.
Would you prayerful consider supporting me in going to Japan? As you consider, I would like to say I sincerely and deeply appreciate your willingness to give and sending me as I go out on mission. I am greatful to know that you care and are rooting for me and what God is doing around the world. If you have any questions or want to know more about the school, my goals, why Japan, or anything else, please feel free to message or email me, and I would love to explain more.
If you would like to support me through prayer, that would be absolutely wonderful. If you would like to recieve an email newsletter and prayer guide throughout my time in Japan to know how to pray for me, please send me a message or email and I would gladly add you to it.
I hope to include you in my time there by updating you on what God is doing and what I am learning. If you would like to receive email newsletter updates, you can send me a message on Facebook or email me and I will add you to it.
Thank you for reading and supporting me,
Alexandra Dietz
