Alexandra Wolf and Family Support Fund

Hello everyone.. Believe it or not, we're back here again. Alexandra's cancer has returned and is now stage 4. She has been fighting it again since June of last year. Her husband, Jacob, made a GoFundMe for their family when they found out it came back. I'm going to share the link to her other GoFundMe as well as post her updates here. Hello to everyone that reads this. My name is Ginnene and I have created this Go Fund Me for my best friend Alexandra Wolf and her Family.

Over the past couple of years, Alexandra has been living with pain in her lower left leg. After multiple doctors and specialists did test after test, the results didn't show anything out of the ordinary. Everyone assumed it was her fibromyalgia, an autoimmune condition she was diagnosed with previously. She tried to relieve the pain through exercise, massage, rolfing, acupuncture, and other holistic remedies, yet nothing seemed to work.

In the last three months, the pain has become unbearable. There is a visible lump on the lower part of her left leg, her ankle is swollen all of the time, and she walks with a limp and uses a cane or crutches. She has tried to continue working but has had to cut back due to pain. This is extremely hard for her because she loves her job and she cares for her clients so much.

Alexandra was finally able to get the right test, an MRI with contrast, which showed a 5cm+ tumor growing between her tibia and fibula. With a great team of doctors working quickly to get her the tests she needed, we found out this week that the tumor is in fact cancer.

This type of cancer is very rare with about 400 to 500 cases per year in the US. It’s called Rhabdomyosarcoma and it’s typically found in children. Because the cancer is high grade, attached to both bones in her leg, and it’s spreading through her tendons, they will try to shrink the tumor with chemotherapy and radiation before they attempt surgery. The other option is amputation of the lower left leg.

She has appointments at the U of A Cancer Center in Tucson, AZ and appointments with another oncologist who specializes in limb salvage surgery for cancer patients in Phoenix, AZ.

In the midst of all of this, Alexandra opened Lanyap Salon in Flagstaff, AZ, two years ago with her partner, Brandon. She will be missing a lot of work traveling to other cities to get the testing, treatment, and surgeries that she needs.

She has her loving husband, Jacob, right by her side every step of the way. He works part-time at a nonprofit animal shelter, while still taking the role of a stay-at-home dad. With that, he will be missing a lot of work as well.

Their children, Dexter (age 10) and Acelyn (age 7), are watching their mom go through this and helping in every way possible. All they want is for their mom to be healthy again so they can enjoy hiking, swimming, and playing like they used to do.

I have created this Go Fund Me in hopes to give this family some financial relief. This money will be used to help with rent, bills, food, gas, etc. Thank you for your help and support!
