In Loving Memory of Alexandra Sedeño

Dear Friends and Compassionate Hearts,

It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of our dear friend Alexandra Sedeño on December 9, 2023. She faced the challenges of terminal endometrial cancer with unwavering grace and courage, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.

Alex found out about her stage 4 cancer in April 2023, and has fought bravely throughout these past months. However the cancer spread quickly to her other organs and by the end of her treatment, Alex was unable to eat and was on a liquid diet.

At the tender age of 44, Alex navigated this difficult path surrounded by the love of her precious six-year-old, Aria, and her husband Scott—truly the best support a husband could provide. Their love and strength were pillars that held her in the face of devastating reality, touching our hearts deeply.

Losing Alex so unexpectedly is something unimaginable, and something that will never be healed. This family will never be the same without her, and neither will anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Alex's compassion knew no bounds, and her ability to bring joy to others was truly remarkable. Whether through a genuine smile, a comforting safe space, or words of encouragement, she had a way of making everyone feel special. So many prayers seeking answers, so many tears shed not understanding why.

Now, as we mourn her loss, we are confronted with the responsibility of helping bear the weight of funeral costs and supporting Aria through the challenging transition ahead.

Alex’s family is not here in Miami but did the best they could to be present, contribute, and help, but the burden remains significant.

We stand as her extended family, united in our commitment to ensuring that she receives the dignity and support she so richly deserves.
