Alexandra Rose's Surgery Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hello Cuties! My name is Alexandra Rose, and I am a metal artist living in Birmingham, AL, who needs your financial support for medical expenses. I was recently involved in a bike accident where I collided with a vehicle that turned left in front of me. I dented the side of the car with the impact and ended up on the ground with a four-time fractured collarbone and a pretty banged-up bike.
During my surgery on 1/22/24, the doctors placed eight screws and a TITANIUM plate against the bone to hold it in place. I am now in recovery and am unable to lift more than 5 pounds with my left arm. I have missed three weeks of work, and this accident has severely impacted my ability to create new work for sale. I have been applying for artist grants, working with my medical insurance, and the driver's insurance to cover my medical expenses, but am currently 3,568.45 in the red. Whatever we raise past the initial goal (of $4,000) will go towards future physical therapy expenses.
I feel incredibly fortunate that I was able to have this surgery mostly covered by my insurance, that I had access to anesthesia, a recovery care partner (I love you Torc Stewart), and time off from work. This will be a slow process of healing, and I want to make sure I am fiscally taken care of as well as physically. Thank you for any and all support you can send me in my recovery.
I love you all <3
