On July 13th, 2022, Alexandra Rand was involved in a terrible car crash. She was hit by a runaway 18-wheeler tire and rim while driving in Lake Charles during a work trip. She was rushed to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital; however, due to severe facial trauma, Alex was airlifted to LSU-Shreveport trauma hospital.

She sustained multiple facial fractures to the orbital (eye) sockets, nose, cheeks, and upper jaw. Currently in the ICU at LSU-S she still needs to undergo multiple surgeries.

Alex is a selfless, wonderful person who extends kindness to everyone she meets. A friend to everyone, she shows up when people need her, answers your call any time of the day, offers advice, laughs with you and always sees the brighter side of any situation.

Alex works hard and just needs a bit of help during her long road to recovery. If you are able to contribute in any way to assist Alex and her family with her medical expenses, it will undoubtedly be paid forward in the future.
