Help Alexandra Fund Her Transition
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Eden, a close friend to Alex's who is helping her make this raise money to help her raise money so that she can afford to transition. Due to privacy, she requested that her photo not be shared, but instead we included a picture of her dog Max. (isn't his jumper so CUTE!)
But enough from me! I'll let her tell her the rest of her own story:
"Hello, my name is Alex.
I'm a 39 year old who was living a fake life. 20 years ago it felt like an impossible possibility to truly come out and live my life genuinely. My face didn't fit and I had yet to dare to dream that I could feasibly transition. Due to my own internalized phobia and burying what I really was. I convinced myself at a point that maybe I could be happy. And I tried. But wearing a mask and playing pretend while repressing yourself can only last so long.
It nearly broke me.
In the past year I've come to terms with my nature. My life I've misspent hiding from myself as much as the world. Lost opportunities as well as experiences I can't ever know what they could have been. But I know I can look forward. To the type of person I want to be. Who I know I am.
So thank you for reading this blurb. I'm currently under-process of pursuing private Gender Clinic support after lackluster NHS support in my country claiming I may need to wait over 6 years just to be seen. I have a limited means to live by and can just about make the private option work. Regardless of the outcome of this appeal I will pursue this the best I can. But any support you can give is welcome if you could see it in you to help. Your money would solely be going towards my gender-affirming care funds and enable me to actually be the person I know I can be.
Thank you for your time."
It would mean the world to me and Alex if you could donate or even just share her story with as many people as you know to help her get the support she needs and absolutely deserves.
