Friends and Colleagues of Teradata's Walt Alexander and His Beloved Wife Stacy:
As most of you may be aware, Walt Alexander and his loved ones are enduring a very difficult time and this page is a small step to help relieve some of the financial burden that is upon this beautiful family.
Walt and Stacy have 9 beautiful children and live in Decatur Tennessee, which is about 1 hours’ drive from Knoxville. Stacy has Esophageal Cancer and was sick at the end of 2011 and diagnosed in January of 2012. The Stage 4 cancer had spread and the diagnosis was not good. Friends and family around the world have rallied with an outpour of support to the family but there is much more progress to make. Stacy had a tough 10 months of treatment and had to be isolated from the family during the time of the heavy Chemo treatments. The friends of the family donated Marriott Points to help Stacy stay in isolation at the Springhill Suites near the Cancer Treatment Center, others donated to fund 2 iPads so that Stacy could have a daily webinar and see the children, Others helped with Food, and many friends helped with encouragement on a web page set up for Stacy and with Prayers. The Doctors created a very effective treatment plan and the chemo treatments reduced the cancer and Stacy improved. That was round 1.
In August of 2014, the cancer was diagnosed in Stacy’s stomach and is Stage 4. Doctors are collaborating on a treatment plan now and Stacy is up for another fight against this cancer. We appreciate all the support and prayers from our friends around the world and we also hope that other families going through this battle know that we are praying for them.
