My friend Corinna had a baby, Alexander Joel, about 8 months ago.

He’s been the joy of her life but then tragedy struck and he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Alex has to stay at the hospital 24/7 for cancer treatments and mom and dad are staying there with him and unable to work.

Corinna, used her FMLA after having the baby and now doesn’t have any to use for this sudden heartbreak. The initial time frame was 4 weeks of chemo and surgery, and they have been there that long now with no end in sight.

Alex had his initial surgery to have the tumor out which went well, but that’s when the seizures began. After a few days without improvement the surgeon went back in to remove blood clots and see if they could improve his condition.

Alex smiled at his mom today but they’re still staying at the hospital under close supervision for the foreseeable future.

as I mentioned: mom used up her FMLA and PTO. I don’t think I need to tell anyone what hospital bills amount to after a month of pediatric intensive care vs how much insurance actually pays. Please help Alexander and his Mom and Dad (Corinna and Brice). Anything will help!
