Dear Friends,

I wanted to provide an update on Alexa. As you all know, Alexa has been battling cancer since 2014 and the treatment has been continuous for the past 9 years. We had to leave Sloan Kettering, due to the fact that they were no longer able help to treat Alexa. We are now working with a team of doctors at Cleveland Clnic. We have been back and forth every few weeks for chemotherapy infusions, scans and multiple doses of radiation due to spots that are causing her pain. Most recently, Alexas scans show that she has a tumor that is pushing on her spine. Therefore, she will have to have an extensive spine surgery because radiation is no longer an option for her. It will be an all day surgery, as they will work to remove and cut the tumor that is touching her spine. There will be a team of doctors and plastic surgeons as they will have to cut ribs, bones and fuse rods together. Her recovery will be 6 months or more, to include intense physcial therapy. I am currently not working and this has caused a financial hardship. Despite all of this, we remain positive. We have faith in the team of doctors and professionals and know Alexa will get through this. Love you all for your support.
