Alexa needs our support and help to kick cancers a$$. It was the middle of March and she noticed she was having trouble with her bowels. She called her doctor a few times and each time they suggested laxatives to help her go... Nothing worked! She was distended in her abdomen and in a ton of pain so she went to the ER. After many hours of testing Alexa heard the words that no one ever should hear, "we found a mass on your colon." The doctors then told her they wanted her in surgery immediately because it looks cancerous based on its appearance. So off to surgery she went. They removed 8-10 inches of her colon and the mass and sent it to the pathology lab. Days later Alexa was doing great. She was able to go home to recover from her surgery. She was discharged home on Sunday and spent 2 days before she noticed something was wrong. She was having increased pain and had a temperature. Back to the ER she went. Her 1st surgical site was leaking into her body and caused her to go septic! She nearly died. They took her back to surgery immediately to fix the issue and save her life. She now has multiple surgical sites and drains in place to help her heal. After her 2nd surgery Alexa then found out the cancer was in her lymph nodes. She has been struggling with nausea and vomiting and hasn't been able to eat much.
After she heals from this surgery she will need to start chemo to Fight colon cancer. She has a long/difficult road ahead and will need all the prayers and support She can get.
As most of you know Alexa is self employed and is unable to operate her hair salon and provide an income for her and her family to pays her bills. I have started this page to help her in her time of need so she can focus on getting well.
