Alexa Mastando - Leukemia - Medical Expenses

Dear Friends and anyone else who sees this and wants to help:

I'm Erin, and I have known the Mastando girls (Alexa, Denise, and Brittany) and family for 11+ years now through softball and friendship. Some of us have even had the honor of having Alexa on our recreational softball team and the magic of watching her play, which has been amazing!

My apologies to those of you who are just learning about this for the first time - Alexa has been unexpectedly diagnosed with Leukemia at 27 years old.

Alexa and her boyfriend, Mike, moved out of NY last September and started a life in South Carolina. Alexa is currently on leave from her job as a speech pathologist, she works with children who need that little bit of extra support with speech. (If any parents of her patients are reading this, she misses your kids!!!!) In anything that Alexa has done, everyone could account her sincerity, amazing humor and warm personality. She is the light of the room and the person at the party that makes everyone feel heard.

Alexa and Mike closed on a house last week, not knowing of Alexa's diagnosis, which was obviously very unexpected. In addition to a mortgage, there will be extensive medical bills impending.

She is currently receiving treatments inpatient and unable to work until further notice, and a lot of you have asked how you can help. This Go Fund Me is being set up for her as the financial burden of what she is enduring will be extremely challenging without our help. Please help us support our wonderful Ray of Sunshine!
