Alex's wheelchair seat elevator repair

My daughter, Alex Dacy, needs a much desperately needed wheelchair repair. Over the past few months her seat elevator (which enables her to function independently) has been breaking down. The insurance company does not consider this feature “necessary," and will not cover the cost. Let me explain further..  without this feature, Alex cannot reach her food, leave her apartment, reach elevator buttons, perform simple daily hygiene, work, and a host of other daily activities that most of us take for granted.

We recently hosted a GoFundMe page to cover the costs of previous wheelchair repairs and outstanding hospital copays which we extend our heartfelt thanks for your generosity. The cost of this seat elevator is 1,500 dollars which Alex cannot afford at this time.

A generous wheelchair-repair man and his company offered the seat elevator for her at cost which we will be forever grateful. Typically they cost upwards of 3,000. Please consider donating so that she can obtain this repair ASAP. Thank you for your kindness.
