My cousin Kara Rowe is battling cancer (#CancerSucks) for the second time and needs significant financial support to beat the disease and get back to building a great life with her husband and 2 young children.
I truly believe that the toughest among us are tested for a reason. While we don't control the outcomes, we do control our response to the test. It is now time for myself and others to join Kara's fight which is why I am seeking your sponsorship for my ULTRA RUN FOR THE ROWES on April 18, 2020. I am putting my endurance training to the test and committing to running at least 50 miles at race pace to raise money for the Rowe's significant healthcare expense burden. I also commit to running farther as your generous donations reach the following thresholds:

My mission is to raise up to/potentially over $20,000 here in April to help the Rowes cover their growing backlog of medical expenses so they can focus 100% of their attention on beating cancer (#CancerSucks). While I am an avid runner, my longest run to date is 55 km which I completed in February 2020. Meet The Rowes
Kara and Jeff Rowe have been married for 8 years and are raising two incredible children, Max (6) and Olivia (5), in Buffalo, NY. They are a hard-working, fun loving, family-first couple that always puts the needs of others ahead of their own. Kara is a selfless, humble ‘giver’ who always brightens the room and brings a smile to everyone she meets. They are fanatical Bills fans and, rumor has it, active members of the Bills Mafia.
They faced a very difficult challenge early in their marriage with two young children under 2 years old when Kara was diagnosed with breast cancer. They circled the wagons like the Jim Kelly Bills, relied on their strength of character and the support of their large family, and beat cancer with courage and grace.
At the start of 2020 the Rowe family was hitting their stride. Max and Liv were doing great in school, Kara was quickly earning more responsibility at work and Jeff’s startup coffee business (https://www.greatlakescoffeeroasters.com/) was building critical mass. And, the Bills were looking like the team to beat in the AFC East in the Fall.
In February 2020, Kara was diagnosed with lung cancer and her aggressive treatment plan is underway. Once again, the Rowe family is circling the wagons to fight this evil enemy (#CancerSucks). As they gear up for another intense battle, they are focused on protecting Max and Liv’s normal routine while dealing with COVID-19 disruptions at work. Of course, they are thinking about themselves last which is exactly why I’m ULTRA RUNNING FOR THE ROWES on April 18.
