In memory of Alex Winer

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved family member, Alex Winer. Alex was not just a Memphis firefighter; he was a loving son, brother, the "fun" uncle, and a devoted friend to many.

First and foremost, Alex cherished his family above all else. His passion for life was contagious, and he had an uncanny ability to bring smiles to the faces of everyone he encountered. Whether you were 2 years old or 95, Alex never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, even a wall, and leave a lasting impression of warmth and camaraderie.

Alex's generosity knew no bounds, always willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His love for the outdoors and mischievous pranks added an extra layer of joy to the lives of those around him.

As a dedicated firefighter, Alex selflessly served and protected the communities of Williamson County, TN, and Memphis. His commitment to ensuring the safety of others was unwavering, and the impact he made on the lives of those he touched is immeasurable.

Walking through this challenging time has revealed the profound influence Alex had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

In honor of his memory, we have established this GoFundMe campaign to support Alex's family during this difficult period.Your contribution will help Jamie, Randy, Jake, Ben, and Cole cover the immediate costs of the funeral arrangements, time out of work, and any unexpected expenses, ensuring Alex receives a farewell as beautiful as the life he lived.

Let us come together as a community to show our love and support for Alex's family. Your contributions, whether big or small, will make a meaningful difference during this trying time. Please share this campaign widely, and let's ensure that Alex's memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Please feel free to leave a fun memory you have with Alex in the comments.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.

We will celebrate Alex's life on January 30, 2024 at Thompson’s Station Church - 2604 Thompson’s Station Road E, Thompsons Station, TN 37179

Visitation will be held from 11-1 with the service to follow.
