Alex Wilcox Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Alex Wilcox, a softball star from rural Alabama, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2015 during her junior year of high school. Despite undergoing multiple operations and receiving chemotherapy, she continued playing the game she loved and earned a softball scholarship at Mississippi State University. Despite carrying a full academic load and still continuing with cancer treatments, she excelled on the field during her freshman year and was named to the SEC honor roll living out one of her dreams as a collegiate student athlete. Displaying incredible courage and an indomitable spirit, Alex inspired the entire softball community throughout not only the SEC but the entire nation. June 25, 2018, Alex passed from this life after a heroic battle with ovarian cancer. Her medical expenses are a burden no family should have to bear after suffering such a loss. Please be assured that 100% of any donations will be used to cover her expenses and any excess donations will be contributed to ovarian cancer research. No One Fights Alone.
