Alex's wife and child need help

Friends and colleagues of Alexander Bulakhov, a member of the Department of Structural Biology who was killed in Memphis on Sunday, November 12, 2023, are opening a portal for donations through GoFundMe to help support the immediate needs of his family.

Alexander Bulakhov was on a walk with his wife and young daughter when he was shot and killed in a senseless “robbery gone bad”. Alexander (Sasha) leaves behind his wife Ana and daughter Varvara. We ask everyone for their help and support of the Bulakhov’s as they deal with this immeasurable loss. The funds generated through this campaign will help provide the much-needed stability and aid in the absence of Alexander’s sole source of income for the family.

These funds are being raised on behalf of Alex's coworkers. The money will be handled by the organizer, Sara Alston and given to Anastasiia Bulakhova (Ana), Alex's wife.
