Alex Ung: Community Fundraising

On the morning of June 9th, Alex suffered a stroke in the Olympic peninsula.

To save his life, park rangers airlifted him to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA where he was treated and released after 8 days.

Reflecting back on the last two weeks, there are a spectrum of emotions we all must be feeling. A collective sigh of relief that a full recovery is possible, (who are we kidding, this is Alex we are talking about :)). Feelings of gratitude for all those involved in saving Alex’s life and the critical stages of recovery. As we come to the reality that this situation could be financially crippling to Alex and his family, we are also feeling some anxiety. What can we do?

100% of this GoFundMe will be directly deposited into Alex’s account. Our goal of 26k was calculated by close friends Lizbeth Cayro and Tom Bentler to cover outstanding medical bills and modest costs of living for June-October (5 months). By contributing to this fundraiser, our community can ease this anxiety and allow Alex to focus on his therapy and recovery. Let’s all work to get our guy back on the dance floor!
