My name is Denise Clarke, and just like many of you who are reading this, my life was touched and forever changed the moment Alex Thomas became a part of it. I am confident that everyone has a similar story about their experience with Alex. He was a coach, mentor, role model, husband, son, brother, friend, and overall, a kind soul. He was taken from us too soon, from a heart attack at the tender age of 42. While losing Alex is extremely difficult to process, we must focus on how much he meant to us and, most importantly, his impact on the Evanston community and beyond. We as a community must be there for his children, Nigel Frazier, Alexanderia Frazier-Thomas, Andreas Thomas, Katalyna Thomas, and Marcelle Thomas, the same way Alex has been there for them up until the day he passed. With the support of many others, this GoFundeMe was created to help raise money for Alex P. Thomas family expenses and children's educational funds.

His beloved wife, Djuwanna, will continue his legacy by instilling the love, generosity, and kindness that Alex possessed in his children each and every day.
