Alex Russell - Traumatic Sciatic Nerve Injury

Hello everyone, I am reaching out to friends, family, and acquaintances to help our daughter, Alex Russell. She is 30 years old and self-employed. She is a hairstylist, which requires standing to do her job. She suffered a traumatic accident on Tuesday night, severely severing her sciatic nerve by 95%. Due to a large amount of blood loss from the injury, Alex went into shock when the ambulance arrived. She then suffered a partially collapsed lung during surgery. Doctors were able to repair 75% of the nerve and placed a collagen sleeve around the nerve in the hopes of helping the nerve grow back. Today, she is paralyzed from her left knee to her toes, has no feeling and can't walk or stand. The doctors are saying she has a long recovery ahead of her, possibly 1-2 years, which is debilitating not only to her physically but also to her career and ability to earn a living. While doctors are very optimistic, it will still be a long road of Physical Therapy and healing. No guarantee this important nerve will repair itself. Your donation will help Alex with medical expenses and loss of income. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your prayers and generosity!
