A Boy's Dream To Help People With Cancer

My name is Alex and I lost a close family member to cancer.

I find it it hard to accept that we cannot save more lives. I am only ten years old, but I am going to make a difference. I want to study and work hard and help to find a cure for cancer.

A few years ago I met a girl who was sick. She had cancer. I decided then to grow my hair so that by donating it to Little Princess Trust, children like her can have a piece of normal life.

It has not been easy. I have sometimes been mistaken for a girl. Some people have been very kind and understanding. Others have not been as kind.

But WAS worth it!

Next Wednesday, 5th February, I finally get to cut and donate my hair!
