Our Story

It is with broken hearts that we share the news of the untimely passing of our beloved Alex Osei Mensah at the young age of 33.

A graduate of the University of Ghana in Psychology and Archaeology, Alex’s dream was to complete his Master’s degree here and become an accredited Clinical Psychologist within the NHS. He wanted to use his skills to heal minds and support the vulnerable. That was his life's mission.

Tragically, before he could fulfill that promise, he was taken from us on the 8th February 2026.

In Memory of Alex

Alex was a man who defined himself by service, but his motivation was deeply personal. Having lost his mother at a young age, this loss gave him a profound heart for orphans and vulnerable children, a passion he turned into action.

In Ghana, he channeled this empathy into his work as a Guidance and Counselling officer at Obuasi Government Hospital , supporting patients through their darkest mental health struggles. But he went further, serving as a PTA Secretary at Kings International School where he personally organised donations for Adullam Orphanage.

His dream of joining the UK NHS as a Clinical Psychologist was simply the next step in this lifelong mission: to dedicate his career to healing the kinds of emotional wounds he knew too well.

He was a man of deep responsibility, but more than his accolades, Alex was a vibrant soul who loved football and reading. He was the kind of person who built others up, whether he was organising career days for students or simply being a friend who sticks closer than a brother. He had so much more to give to this world.

We are raising funds to give Alex the dignity in death that he fought so hard to maintain in life. Specifically, your donations will help us cover the significant expenses of a funeral that honours his life and legacy.
