It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Alex Oprișan on 08 May 2026.

Alex was only 36 years old. A loving father to his 15-year-old son, a devoted son, brother, boyfriend, cousin, and an incredible friend with one of the biggest hearts anyone could ever know. He was a vibrant soul who lit up every room, someone who touched countless lives with his kindness, generosity, humour, and unwavering support for those around him.

His loss is immense and heartbreaking for everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

We are now raising funds to help support Alex’s family during this devastating time and to cover the costs of repatriation from Dublin to his hometown of Piatra Neamț in Romania, where he can be laid to rest surrounded by his loved ones.

The funds raised will help cover:

-Repatriation and transportation costs from Ireland to Romania

-Funeral and burial expenses

-Financial support for Alex’s grieving family

No family should have to face saying goodbye while carrying such a heavy financial burden. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would mean the world and help ease this burden so his family and friends can focus on honouring Alex’s memory and supporting one another through this unimaginable loss.
