Alex Nickel's Celebration of life
Donation protected
Alex ‘Lumpy’ Nickel, 26, passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2017.
He is the son of Jeff and Tracy and brother to Zach and Jessica Nickel. Alex grew up in Traer, Iowa and attended North Tama schools. After high school, Alex attended William Penn University where he played football and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. Alex has made friends with every one he has come into contact with. He had a contagious laugh and an amazing, witty personality that left everyone drawn to him. Alex loved spending time with his family and his dogs. He enjoyed football, hanging out with his friends, sports, and fishing all summer at his friend’s pond.
The entire community has known and loved this family forever. The Nickel family is full of strong-willed, open-minded and hardworking members. This family has stuck together, supported each other and loved more than anyone can ever imagine. For many years, Jeff Nickel has been suffering from a very rare blood disease and heart issues. With weekly dialysis, open-heart surgery, hospital bills and travel costs, the Nickels have had plenty financial troubles.
The Nickels have gone through more than many have. Please extend your heart to this family by donating towards the final expenses of an extremely unexpected, heart shattering loss.
Alex’s family and community will hold a celebration of life on Saturday, January 28th, the time will be announced later this week.
