Alex Messerli Medical Fund

This fund is to benefit Alex Messerli and his family. The primary reason for this fund is to help cover medical expenses.
During the last week of May, Alex had multiple seizures that put him in the hospital. Seizures have been common for Alex as they are a result of his battle with brain cancer dating back nearly a decade. As a result, he suffered a stroke and has seizures off an on for the past few years. However, this last series of seizures has left him in critical condition. He is in the ICU, where he is now also battling renal failure.
Friends of the Messerli family have started this fund to offer support and help relieve the family of some of the financial burden from the hospital as well as for when he is out and may need additional care at home. Alex has not been able to work since he was diagnosed with brain cancer, and his wife Trista is the sole provider. As a Professor, Trista has taken on as many classes and labs as she can to help support her family.
Despite not being able to work, Alex has always made time for his beautiful family. He has volunteered as a room dad at school, volunteers at Vacation Bible School every year, and has even helped coach soccer and basketball. He knows how special life is and always makes time for his family. We love Alex and want to show his family that we support him.
