Four days ago, Alex was just fine. He was doing what he always does. Raising, as a truly single father, his autistic son Ethan, working for the company he has dedicated the last 25 years to to ensure proper medical equipment is in place in local medical facilities, and putting someone else first. He is always putting others first.
Tonight, the doctors told Alex they will be removing his lower left leg tomorrow due to loss of tissue from blood clots. Blood clots from which they have no idea where they are coming from. Blood clots in both his veins and his arteries, of which they have only read about in textbooks.
He was told that after the surgery, the recovery time before he will begin trying to walk is 2-3 months, with extensive rehabilitation and of course, a prosthetic. In addition, they will be continuing to monitor remaining clots and working to find a cause and a cure.
Alex needs help and he absolutely deserves it. He is a good soul. He clearly needs help with medical expenses, funding for Christmas presents for his son, and help with daily expenses while he is both hospitalized and recovering. Any monetary fund is appreciated however so are acts of kindness and services. Meal trains for when he returns home, maid services to help keep his home clean, funds for camps for his son to attend when not in school, errand running, at home nursing care, the list goes on and on.
Please pray for Alex to find peace and understanding through all of this. Please share this to all so that he can have as much help and as much prayer as he can receive.
Sincerely,
Family
