Hi, I'm Rebecca, Alex Mayall's sister-in-law. When Alex was 3 months old, she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. This life threatening disease is incurable and damages the lungs and digestive system. When Alex was 25, she had a double lung transplant. This miracle transplant saved her life; however, Alex is required to take several daily medications so that her body does not reject her new lungs. These medications are lifesaving but unfortunately have worn away most of the enamel on her teeth. Alex finds it almost impossible to eat and is in pain each time.
Alex and her husband Jonah have found an oral surgeon that can place dental implants, enabling her to eat again without being in pain. As Alex and Jonah's insurance only covers a small portion of this dental procedure, they have been saving and cutting back on non-essentials for the past year so that they can afford this dental surgery. Any amount donated would be very much appreciated by Alex, her husband, and family. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and God bless.
