Alex M. Young Memorial Fund

Alex passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2021. To honor Alex, our family has selected five organizations to support in honor of Alex's name. We believe these five selected organizations represent Alex, what he loves, and what is important to him.

 

We will be dividing donations into the five following organizations:

 

1 Tunnels to Towers - A program that builds mortgage free homes for seriously injured veterans and first responders.

 

2. American Red Cross - Alex’s grandmother, Friedie Carey, was a lifetime volunteer and also served on the ARC Board of Governors for many years. 

 

3. Colorado State University Construction Management Program - Alex graduated from CSUs CM program in 2020. He lived for his construction projects, and wouldn’t have gotten to where he was in his career today without his professors, friends, and education within the program.

 

4. Sponsorships to support life coaching for young adults through Justin Oberndorf - Justin, a former BVSD teacher, coaches young adults and provides guidance on living a healthy, positive and productive lifestyle.

 

5. Boulder Valley YoungLife - Our family has benefited greatly from the support of Christian leadership through Boulder Valley YoungLife and would like to support future kids on their journey with Christ.
