Alex Got Wrecked on a Bike!
Donation protected
Our dearest friend, Alex, also known as “shambelina” and “Mr. Glass”, has taken a catastrophic tumble from his bike. A covertly placed fire hydrant hose sabotaged his journey home from the book store, resulting in cracked ribs and a shattered elbow, which required emergency surgery. To know Alex is to love Alex, and if you’re lucky enough to both know and love him, then you are certainly aware of the ferocity with which he approaches his work as a successful and enthralling server. Unfortunately, due to this accident, he will be unable to go to work, since carrying platters involves elbow movement currently unavailable to him. According to the medical staff at the world renowned Woodhull medical center, Alex will be out of work for six weeks. This renders him unable to create income, since the service industry is one famously lacking in any additional cushioning for workers. We, his concerned friends who are also in the comfort-less industry of servicing the people, are therefore reaching out to our and Alex’s community in order to help him to recover well, effectively, and without the extreme stress that comes from an unprepared for and unpreventable lapse in income. The money raised here will go towards Alex’s rent & food while he is unable to work, and primarily to help him with his American-ly abundant medical bills. If Alex has ever served you, chatted with you, or flailed his arms at you while vividly recounting a story, then please consider donating to his recovery fund, so that he can heal without adding financial worries to his current list of ailments.
