Dear Friends and Family,
As of now our dear friend--and my father Alex Goldfarb has been missing for just over 24 hours. We are mounting a helicopter rescue mission to the summit of Pastore Peak, which Alex stated he planned to ascend when we last had radio contact. The helicopter will be leaving first thing in the (Pakistani) morning, i.e. early evening Jan. 17 EST, with a search team on board who will descend from the peak to try and find Alex.
The helicopter company has requested the funds be delivered before the rescue mission takes place--although this is short notice, the funds WILL be raised in full; whatever is not raised via crowdsourcing will be supplemented in otherwise.
