Hello, my name is Alex Taylor and I am a 9th grade student at Baton Rouge Magnet High School. I currently have a 4.265 grade point average and I am an Honors/AP student that is involved in many extracurricular activities. I am currently serving as 9th Grade Class President, and I am a member of the Beta Club and the Key Club. I have always had an interest in law and this semester, I participated in the Louisiana Mock Trial Competition where my interest in law was further enhanced. It has always been my desire to attend an Ivy League University, therefore when presented with the opportunity to attend The National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC): Law and Advocacy Program on the campus of Georgetown University, I was elated. The NSLC Law and Advocacy Program is a 9-day residential summer program where I will be able to assume the role of a trial attorney and battle for justice. Specifically, I will be working with other high school students to examine evidence, research legal issues, and learn to build a criminal case. This program promises many opportunities for me to meet and network with judges, attorneys and legal experts, while also getting a taste of what it would be like to be a student at one of the most prestigious law schools in the country. The total cost of this high-level interactive program is $4,000 which includes tuition, travel, and room and board. To assist with the cost, I have established a GOFUNDME account and I am seeking your financial assistance to help make this amazing opportunity a reality. Please consider making a donation, any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance for your support,
