Here's the situation,
As we all know, our good friend Doubleday is a super hard-worker who commits himself entirely to whatever he's working on. Over the past year he's shifted focus from bartending to push himself out of his comfort zone and learn a new trade; carpentry. Starting over in a new industry, he's taken time , care and resources to acquire the necessary tools and vehicle for the work.
On Thursday, January 21st, Alex woke up at 4:30 AM for work and found that all of it had been stolen. His truck, along with the over $5k in tools he had invested in, had been stolen overnight. If the truck is recovered, it is most likely going to have been stripped, as there were some aftermarket items in it. Insurance will cover a small portion, but not enough to cover the cost of the tools.
There doesn't seem to be an instant remedy, and asking for help isn't ever easy. If you are able to help out in anyway, whether it is financially or by sharing this, it would be so, so helpful. Any friend is surely aware that Alex is not quick to ask for or accept help from others, and may well be embarrassed by this fundraiser, but tough times is tough times and I know we all want to help our friends when we're able.
Thanks y'all.
