Alex Cisne is the most decorated American Athlete in Sanda. He is a 12 time National Champion, 4 Time Pan American Champion, and World Championships Bronze medalist. With his selection this year for the 2019 National Team he will make his final run at gold at worlds in Shanghai. Alex is the leader and team captain, his leadership and inspiration to the other athletes has been invaluable.

Alex has been competing in Sanda since 1999. It has been his passion and he has given his heart and soul to this sport. This is a love of his and has grown in my heart as well. We do are best, but every trip and every competition Alex goes to representing our Country comes at our own expense.

Alex thought he was done competing when they set the retirement age at 35, where he would finish his carrier in Kuala Lumpur with a Bronze Medal.  After two year they decided to change the age of retirement to 40. When Alex heard this he new he needed to finish strong, and set an example to other fighters to never give up on your dream.

Alex would go on to compete and is looking to finish his journey strong. To do this Alex would like to make a trip to China before the World Championships to train with some of the best. If you know Alex then you know he is very humble and works hard and never complains. I would love to make this trip happen for him and see him walk into his 40's knowing he already a gold medalist father, husband, brother, son, friend, and coach to us all.
