Alex Cannon Needs Help with Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Alex Cannon was a former Captain on South Ferry, Shelter Island. Customers will remember him by his quick smile and friendly conversation.  He worked for South Ferry for almost 20 years.  Recently Alex was power washing a woman's home on November 18, 2019 and fell off of her roof compressing all the vertebrae in his neck.  He was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital where they did surgery to decompress the vertebrae but at this time he still has no feeling from his shoulders down.  Alex went into cardiac arrest 2 times and was revived each time.  He has had to have a ventilator breathing for him because when your body has an injury to the spinal chord many of your bodily systems go haywire.  To make matters worse Alex doesn't have any health insurance.  Alex is a really good guy and needs help.  He loves dogs and his dog Benson cries for him everyday.  Benson had finally though he found the one man that would be his forever Dad.  Please help Alex so hopefully we will be able to bring him back to his house and the medical bills won't make him homeless
