Hello friends. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing asking for help for our dear friend Jose, his wife Lourdes and their family. On March 23rd, 2025 they received the call all parents dread. Their oldest son Alex, who was only 17, had died. He had recently been spending time with a crowd who were older than him and the family believes Alex was given drugs that lead to his death. This is currently being investigated and the family awaits more details.

Alex was a happy boy, a great brother to his siblings and full of life. He leaves behind his parents, grandparents, 2 younger brothers, sister and many others who loved him. The family is left heartbroken.

We are asking for donations to help cover burial costs as well as living expenses. The burden of losing their eldest son has left them in a state of shock and the family will need time to grieve. As devastated as the family is, they want to honor Alex’s memory and create awareness about the deadly impact of drugs among youth. Alex was a minor and the unfortunate reality we live in is that our youth have access to drugs that kill and rip families apart.

Jose and his wife are hardworking and do their best to support their family and are always there to lend a hand to others.
